Scrapbooks of news clippings about various aspects of New York City history including historic buildings, the Civil War, and events in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens. Focus of one scrapbook is married couples wed 35 years or longer, 1928-1935. Three scrapbooks primarily concern involvement of soldiers from Astoria in World War I including news clippings reproducing their letters, and information about Camp Upton, Long Island. One scrapbook focuses on George U. Harvey, Queens Borough President, 1930-1932. Another contains newsletters and announcements of Knights of Pythias in Astoria, Queens, 1897-1934.
